The Pump at the Bundanon Residency 2018

The Pump at the Bundanon Residency 2018

The Pump (ongoing)

The Pump propels future scenarios, creative water works, networks and opportunities for people to draw from and in which they can invest. The Pump distributes without draining. It draws in information and opportunities for people to affect change through arts action, and pumps out this information through collaborative research, art making and on-line platforms. It is an active and poetic mechanism for generating transformative change in our global water future setting. It is also an integrated approach to climate action blending fields of enquiry and practice.

The Pump is an exchange platform for an international community of artists, scientists, academics, arts workers and community leaders, who blend artistic and scientific practice to pump out projects that promote individual and collective agency in people’s relationships with water.

The Pump enjoyed a residency at the Bundanon Farm in 2018 and was a contributing panel in a Plenary Roundtable at the Tropical Performances Conference 2019 in association with De La Salle University, Philippines. The Pump most recently presented a participatory session as part of the inaugural congress of Sustainability Research and Innovation (SRI2021).

Visit The Pump website for further information on our projects and utilise our collective resource of information and opportunities.
